One-Day Introduction to Centering Prayer Workshop

Centering Prayer is a form of Christian silent mediation where one lets go of thoughts during periods of prayer typically lasting 20 minutes. It is rooted in the self-emptying love that forms the heart of Jesus’ teaching and life. The effect on those who practice it is an ever-increasing awareness of God’s action and presence in the course of ordinary life.

Margaret Caldwell is an Episcopal priest, living in Chattanooga, TN, who focuses on teaching Centering Prayer, leading retreats and assisting people to listen to their inner longings and yearning. She has over 32 years experience using compassionate listening and dialogue to help people identify and navigate life's critical transitions.
