Our facility can accommodate up to 100 guests though we place an emphasis on the experience available to groups of a smaller size. Most of our guest rooms have two comfortable single beds and can be booked for either single or shared occupancy. Some rooms come with a double bed. Guests share baths located on each floor. Several private apartments are available. The Hermitage, a lovely stone and wood cottage with kitchenette and bath, is an ideal space for a personal retreat. Individuals visiting St. Mary’s Sewanee on their own may also book our regular guest rooms.
We have two spacious meeting rooms and a large dining room, each with picture windows and a bluff view. The larger meeting room can be configured in a number of ways and set up for up to 100 participants. The fireplace room holds up to 40. Our main reception area provides inviting space for conversation and reading. Additional quiet space is available in the reading room. Our chapel is designed for individual devotions and small group worship. Our guests are also welcome to attend services at St. Mary’s Convent, an easy walk from the Center.
The staff provides a full-range of services for guests, such as meeting room set-up, audio-visual support, beverage service, housekeeping and therapeutic massages. Spiritual Direction is available upon request. Delicious meals, featuring fresh fruit in season, homemade soups, carefully prepared entrees and desserts are served buffet style to groups of 12 or more. Complimentary coffee and tea service is available 24 hours a day.
