Advent Retreat 2010: Waiting for the Lord
December 3 - 5 2010, Friday 6 p.m. until Sunday 11:00 a.m.“No ear has ever heard, nor eye ever seen, any God but you doing such deeds for those who wait for him” (Is. 64:3).
Waiting is a part of the human condition. Because our lives are temporal, we are constantly waiting– for prayer to be answered, for transformation in our lives, in our world. In this retreat, we will explore six different passages in scripture in which people are waiting for the Lord to act. From this exploration, we will seek to discern in our own lives what we are waiting for. A part of the task of waiting is gathering the information we need to recognize Christ at his coming. We will explore the telltale signs in the world around us of Christ in our midst.
