A New Creation - Henri Nouwen’s Vision for Planet Earth
November 12 – 14 2010, Friday 6 p.m. until Sunday 11 a.m.Henri Nouwen’s writings trace the arc of Jesus’ message of Belovedness from the deepest wellsprings of our psyches to the dynamics of interpersonal relationships and on into the center of vibrant, healthy communities. Less well known are Nouwen’s reflections on Creation and the environmental crisis.
Drawing on his close friendship with Nouwen, on his research for two books on Nouwen, and on his environmental work in western Massachusetts, Robert A. Jonas will explore “the Body of Christ” as a Trinitarian archetype for planetary healing.
