Presenter Formation for Lectio Divina
October 21, Tuesday 1:30 pm until 3:30 pmThe formation program for presenters of Lectio Divina is for presenters of Centering Prayer to study in depth the content of the Lectio Divina Workshop. There will also be an opportunity for the presenters to facilitate a group of Lectio Divina.
The schedule includes:Familiarization with the Presenter’s Handbook for Lectio Divina
Participant facilitation of Lectio Divina in a small group
Discussion of issues raised by this experience
Presenter:
Sr. Maria Tasto is a member of the Sisters of St. Benedict, Ferdinand, IN. An experienced counselor and
spiritual director, Sr. Maria gives retreats and growth workshops. She received her training in spiritual direction at
the Institute of Religious Formation at St. Louis University. She has an advance degree in theology and scripture at
St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN. She also has an advanced degree in English from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio
and a counseling certificate from the University of Evansville in Indiana. Sister Maria is a certified presenter of Centering Prayer,
and Lectio Divina . As a resource faculty member of Contemplative Outreach she assisted in the formation of the Lectio Divina workshop
and in the training of presenters of Lectio Divina . Fee: $35
