Ron Terrill

Weekend Reservationist

Ron joined the staff of St. Mary’s Sewanee in January of 2018. He is the person who checks guests in on Friday afternoons and works all weekend to ensure that guests have what they need during their retreat. For many, he is “the face” of St. Mary’s Sewanee.

Well-known in the community, Ron is a retired special education teacher and director in the Franklin County (TN) school system. In that work, he developed the strong communication skills and problem solving abilities, which he uses in this position.

A man of deep faith, Ron is an active member of Sewanee Cumberland Presbyterian church. His dedication to serving God is visible in the way he cares for our guests and our staff.

When he is not at St. Mary’s Sewanee, Ron enjoys traveling and working in his garden. He also serves as the Planning Commissioner for the City of Monteagle.
