T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets: Listening to Your Life

Four Quartets by T. S. Eliot draw upon the deep currents of the spiritual life. They invite us into reflection on the seasons of our lives, as well as the dynamics of faith and sacred time. Like a tapestry the poems revolve around experiences of illumination and what Eliot calls “the still point of the turning world.” Written before and during World War II they seem especially relevant to our turbulent times.

In this retreat we will read the four poems and explore how each invites us to explore our inner depths and the movements of the Spirit. The time will include teaching, contemplative reflection,
quiet time, and worship, with an eye toward beginning the season of Lent.

*Participants are asked to bring a copy of Four Quartets, which is readily available in bookstores and on Amazon.
