One River Wisdom Retreat: Embracing the Divine Feminine
(All Event Times Listed are Central Standard Time)
Sewanee, TN 37375
“Unless we awaken to the mystery of the Mother, and allow the Divine Feminine to flow into, irradiate, illumine, and penetrate every area of our activity and to create in them all harmony, justice, peace, love, ecstasy, and balance, we will die out and take nature, or a large part of it, with us. Unless we embrace the Divine Mother in all her subtlety and flexibility, and also searing love dissolving all structures and dogmas, all prisons in which we have so passionately imprisoned ourselves–we are lost.” (Andrew Harvey, The Return of the Mother, adapted).
Based on the teachings of Andrew Harvey (The Return of the Mother) and Rabbi Rami (The Divine Feminine, Embracing the Divine Feminine, and Love of Eternal Wisdom), Rami and Gordon will help us explore the nature and power of the Sacred Feminine (Mary, Kali, Shechinah, Chochmah, Sophia, Shakti, Tara, Tao, Mother, etc.), expose ourselves to her gift of radical liberation, and enter into the sacred marriage of masculine and feminine within ourselves through a Kabbalistic practice of Sukkot (Tabernacles).
The Rev. Dr. Gordon Peerman is an Episcopal priest and psychotherapist in private practice in Nashville, TN. He leads One River Wisdom School Nashville, which meets weekly at Second Presbyterian Church. Gordon is the author of Blessed Relief: What Christians Can Learn from Buddhists about Suffering.
