Join Dr. Joseph Howell, author of Becoming Conscious: The Enneagram’s Forgotten Passageway, Lark Howell, and the faculty of the Institute for Conscious Being for an in-depth exploration into the Enneagram’s Greatest Secret – Living in Essence. Dr. Howell is the founder of the Institute of Conscious Being; he is a is a graduate of Samford University, Yale Divinity School, the University of Virginia, and was a fellow in Clinical Psychology, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School. He has been practicing clinical psychology since 1980 in Anniston, Alabama. He began teaching topics in spiritual development in the late 1980s and has traveled extensively presenting conferences and seminars in such disciplines as dream work, the Enneagram, levels of spiritual development, techniques in spiritual direction, and the theology of Henri Nouwen, his mentor at Yale Divinity School.

Lark Dill Howell, co-founder and retreat coordinator is a native of Anniston where she attends Grace Episcopal Church. She is a past chairman of the Alabama Diocesan Commission on Spirituality.

PRIOR to the retreat, participants should purchase Dr. Howell’s book, Becoming Conscious: The Enneagram’s Forgotten Passageway, which can be found on Amazon or Balboa Press. Also, before the retreat, participants should take the Howell Enneagram Profile, which will help to determine one’s Enneagram Type.
