Lisa Ernst is a meditation teacher, artist and founder of One Dharma Nashville. In her teaching, Lisa emphasizes both transformational insight and everyday awakening as an invitation to embrace all of the path’s possibilities. Lisa has been meditating for over 30 years in the Zen and Vipassana traditions. She received teaching authorization in the Thai Forest/Spirit Rock lineage of Ajahn Chah, Trudy Goodman and Jack Kornfield. Lisa teaches internationally and has led retreats and classes for organizations such as Spirit Rock, InsightLA, Southern Dharma and many more. As a practicing visual artist Lisa incorporates Dharma into contemplative photography and writing.
This retreat will include sitting and walking meditation, instruction, dharma talks and discussion periods. The practices will help us cultivate a quality of compassionate presence that embraces even our most difficult experiences with equanimity and insight. The retreat is suitable for all levels of experience.
In this silent meditation retreat we will stabilize attention and deepen meditative concentration through the breath and body, then gradually open our awareness to the boundless space of mind and heart. The retreat will include mindfulness, open awareness and compassion practices. These practices help us cultivate a quality of compassionate presence that embraces even our most difficult experiences with equanimity and insight. The practices also empower and support us in our challenging everyday lives. As we awaken from the illusion of separateness, we experience intimacy and interconnection with all things.
